Role: Finance Operations Manager
Location: Remote
Hours: Full Time
Reports to: Director, Finance Operations
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial functions of the organization. This role is central to ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate brings a strong analytical mindset, a collaborative style, and a proven track record of optimizing financial processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Oversee the full AR cycle, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and customer account reconciliation
- Review and monitor aging reports regularly, identifying overdue accounts and driving timely resolution
- Establish and enforce credit policies, payment terms, and collections procedures
- Partner with sales and customer success teams to resolve billing disputes and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
- Partner with Accounting leadership to ensure billing processes support accurate revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and applicable accounting standard
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements
- Review and approve payment runs, ensuring proper authorization, coding, and supporting documentation
- Monitor AP aging and vendor statements to maintain accurate liability records and avoid late fees or duplicate payments
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating payment terms where appropriate
- Oversee timely and accurate 1099 preparation and other year-end AP compliance requirements
Financial Management & Reporting
- Support the preparation and review of monthly financial reports, operational dashboards, and variance analyses for leadership review.
- Partner with the Accounting team to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Support cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and liquidity planning through accurate AP, AR, and operational reporting.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including DSO, AP aging, collections effectiveness, invoice processing cycle times, and close timelines.
- Provide operational insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and process efficiency.
Operations & Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk across finance operations
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and expense management
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets and support audit readiness.
- Lead ERP optimization initiatives and drive automation opportunities across AP, AR, expense management, and financial workflows.
- Develop, monitor, and report on operational metrics and service levels to ensure efficient and scalable finance operations.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, applicable tax regulations, and internal policies
- Coordinate with external auditors and audit preparation
- Monitor regulatory changes and update procedures as needed
Team Leadership
- Mentor, and develop finance and accounting professionals
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration
- Partner with IT, HR, and operations teams to support company-wide financial initiatives
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
- Strong proficiency in financial systems and ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial modeling and data visualization tools
- Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred:
- Experience in technology company
- Familiarity with Adaptive Insights, Tableau, or similar FP&A/BI tools
- Experience scaling finance operations in a high-growth environment

The base salary for this position is $115,000 - $130,000. Base pay will depend on a variety of job-related factors, including education, certifications, experience, market demand, and location.
